SummaryThe Role
The Revenue and Reservations Manager will play an important role in the day-to-day operations of Thompson and tommie Austin. This position is responsible for providing best-in-class service for both group and transient guests, while ensuring that the Thompson and tommie Austin is capturing and converting for maximum occupancy and revenue performance, implementing revenue management system and standards and practices to control room inventories and rates - to successfully increase the Hotel's overall revenues and maximize profitability.
This position will manage the daily reservation processes and operations including but not limited to, room inventory and availability, group rooming lists and blocks, cut-off dates and restrictions, selling guest rooms, policy, and procedures for reservations, and being the central contact to ensure optimal performance across all reservation channels included but not limited to Central Reservations, supporting and supervising the Reservation Coordinator, and working with the Front Office and Sales teams to ensure reservations are accurate, inputted timely, and support the properties top-line revenue performance and customer satisfaction goals.
The Revenue and Reservations Manager will oversee the hotel reservations process to maintain optimum levels of production resulting in optimum occupancy. Additional responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, overseeing the group sales and reservations process, monitoring and assessing all lost business reports, monitor and implement strategies for Internet distribution channels, handling of VIP reservations and routing, and training and development of all reservations personnel. This person participates in strategic hotel marketing plans by monitoring future room's occupancy and revenues, as well as by running reports and analysis. This person will report directly to the Area Director of Revenue. Together, the revenue team will work to out-perform direct competitors by winning market share with rational and competitive pricing, distribution strategy backed by targeted marketing, and careful management hotel inventory to maximize topline revenue and yield high net profits.
Key Responsibility:
• Supervises Group Reservations and Billing Coordinator
• Work proactively to ensure the reservation process is seamless for both the guest and within the hotel.
• Monitor daily pickup and ensure reservations are flagged appropriately and accurate.
• Work closely with revenue to flag dates with high compression and monitor daily inventory to ensure optimal occupancy.
• Manages group rooming lists and cutoff dates. Track inventory changes and pickup for group blocks. Ensure blocks are properly routing and that billing has been audited for accuracy.
• Conducts weekly pickup meetings for group.
• Answering calls and guest emails in a timely and friendly manner.
• Property expert on packages, promotions, partnerships and volume accounts. Ensure all sellers are aware and have accurate information for all offerings.
• Coordinate with Guest Services on all VIP/Package/Luxury Consortia bookings to ensure a seamless experience.
• Point of contact for guest recovery and questions during the reservation process.
• Monitors conversion for CRO and direct and manages quality via guest scores to ensure we are providing best in class service to our guest.
• Maintains effective communication across all departments.
• Assist with OTA inquiries, requests and disputes.
• Main point of contact for reservations.
• Prepares weekly/monthly reservation reports.
• Provide the analysis required to guide the hotel revenue management team to formulate transient and group inventory restrictions and pricing strategies towards the goal of increasing market share and maximizing revenues for the hotel.
• Assist with the implementation of the hotel sales strategy and pricing recommendations across all channels Hyatt key revenue systems and market segments.
• Analyze results of strategies and tactics deployed on a monthly basis. Provide all communication necessary to hotels strategy team.
• Provide analysis covering each of the four major OTA channels to ensure that the hotel is maximizing revenue and marketing exposure from each of our top partners.
• Analyze recent trends for all revenue streams and provide detailed analysis to assist the Position Summary: Position Responsibilities / Essential Functions: NA Revenue Management Job Description - Revenue Analyst 2of 4 Director of Revenue/Revenue Manager in the revenue forecasting process for the hotel. This includes the 11 day, Monthly and Annual forecast as needed.
• Attend weekly hotel Sales Strategy meetings in and provide any analysis required for this meeting.
• Review all bookings that fall out of established booking guidelines and provide feedback to the Director of Revenue Management, Revenue Manager and/or the Director of Sales.
• Assist with effectively managing and maintaining Hyatt revenue management systems including Reserve, Opera, Envision and Passkey in accordance with Hyatt Revenue Management Standards.
• Provide analysis for the front office team to maximize revenue from the following programs; Front Desk up-sell programs, and sell out management effectiveness.
• Collaborate and provide analysis for the Convention Services Team/Space Manager to ensure that hotel meeting space is properly utilized to maximize room and food and beverage revenue potential.

Qualifications
- Good communication skill, demonstrate ability to interact with customers, employees and third parties that reflects highly on the hotel, the brand and the company.
- Demonstrate knowledge of effective hotel pricing concepts, yield management optimization and selling strategies, ability to determine which concepts to apply in given market conditions.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office - specifically Excel
- Strong problem solving, analytical, reasoning, motivating, organizational and training abilities.
- Two years as a Supervisor or Analyst in the hotel industry revenue management or reservations discipline preferred.
