About the ADLCC
The Arizona Democratic Legislative Campaign Committee (ADLCC) is the only organization in Arizona whose sole purpose is to elect Democrats to the State House and Senate. Our organization was formed in 2015 when Democratic leaders from the Arizona House and Senate identified the need for an organization whose purpose was to identify, support and elect Democratic candidates statewide.
In 2026, we are working to create Democratic majorities in both chambers for the first time since 1965.
About the Political Director Role
ADLCC is looking for an experienced, full-time Political Director to help manage the political and outreach operation of the caucus and the strategy for paid media across battleground districts. The Political Director will work closely with the Executive Director, ADLCC Senior Staff, candidates, LD leaders, partners, and stakeholders to support ADLCC’s field, paid media, candidate support, and outreach efforts.
Start Date: Mid-July
End Date: December 15th, 2026, with the possibility of being extension to beyond that date
Reports To Executive Director
Core Responsibilities
Candidate Support:
- Serve as the point of contact for the battleground candidates as it relates to paid media, political outreach, endorsements, and strategic messaging.
- Establish the paid media and media production program for battleground candidates, including b-roll shoots and photography, as well as their mail and digital plans.
- Provide regular updates and reports on campaign activities to the Executive Director, other senior staff, Caucus leadership, and caucus consultants.
Stakeholder and Partner Engagement:
- Develop strong relationships with grassroots partners and stakeholders across the state, serving as a point of contact
- Work with the Executive Director and other senior staff on updating partners on campaign operations and strategy, and with the Campaigns Director to ensure their field efforts are coordinated with ADLCC’s
- Serve as the liaison between the county, district parties, and the caucus, and if necessary, work with district staff to help fold in LD volunteers and field partners to the ADLCC field program and collaboration with the coordinated campaign.
- Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure candidates attend candidate trainings, fill out endorsement questionnaires, and secure endorsements.
Candidate Services and Paid Media:
- Oversee ADLCC’s mail, digital, and media programs, including working with consultants, district staff, senior staff, and ADLCC’s compliance and legal teams to ensure the paid media plan is seamlessly executed.
- Work closely with other ADLCC senior staffers to set up tracking systems for the paid media program.
- Create training and support materials for all candidates, including working with other ADLCC staff to create candidate and messaging manuals, and candidate trainings

You will be a good fit for this role if you:
- Have the ability to manage multiple short and long-term projects simultaneously, and are comfortable with juggling multiple and shifting priorities.
- Are detail-oriented and have experience with campaign finance and compliance.
- Are proficient in creating and maintaining complex systems.
- Are highly communicative – responsive to internal and external requests, emails, and calls.
- Can maintain a high level of confidentiality and discretion.
- Have the ability to take and implement feedback.
- Are an effective people manager who is able to engage and motivate candidates, members, and staff.
- Are organized and self-motivated.
Minimum Requirements
- 2-3 cycles (4-6 years) of campaign experience with at least one cycle in a leadership role such as Field Director, Campaign Manager, Political Director, etc.
- Ability to create and maintain complex spreadsheets and budgets.
- Familiarity with managing cash flow
- Strong interpersonal skills that create relationships with members, staff, partners, consultants and candidates
- Valid driver’s license and reliable access to transportation.
- Access to cell phone/computer.
- Ability to work long or irregular hours.
- Availability for frequent travel within the state and across districts.
- Be a Democrat and have demonstrated political beliefs that fit with the Democratic Party’s mission
Salary, Benefits, and Policies
The pay for this role is $95,000-$105,000. This position is located in Phoenix, Arizona. This is a hybrid in-person and remote position.
ADLCC provides Health Benefits (at no monthly premium), Paid Time Off, Sick Leave, Bereavement, and Paid Observed Holidays.
