Description
The Bill Hill for Alaskans campaign is seeking a full-time Finance Director. The Finance Director will be responsible for the campaign’s fundraising program, including calltime, events, and PAC outreach and will oversee junior fundraising staff and our digital and compliance and national fundraising vendors. This position will be overseen by a fundraising consultant dedicated to national fundraising and overseeing the broad program.
About the candidate & campaign: Bill Hill is an Indigenous Bristol Bay commercial fisherman and educator from rural Alaska running as an Independent for Alaska's at-large U.S. House seat. Polling shows Bill in a statistical tie with the incumbent and he is the only candidate in the race endorsed by labor and local Alaska organizations. The campaign raised over $780,000 in Q1 and is growing the team to match the moment.
Location: Anchorage, Alaska
Start Date: July 15, 2026 (flexible)
Salary & Benefits:
- $8,000-$9,000/mo.
- $600/mo stipend for health insurance coverage
- $1,000 relocation stipend
Travel: In-state travel.
Responsibilities
- Candidate and Staff Management (25%)
- Work with candidate, hosts, and key invitees to plan, develop, coordinate, and execute fundraisers
- Work with candidate, staff, and vendors to draft fundraising materials in the candidate's voice, including letters, text messages, emails, and documents
- Coordinate directly with candidate on scheduling for a variety of fundraising activities
- Build and manage the finance team, including a calltime assistant and event support staff
- Fundraising Program Execution (75%)
- Develop and own the full-cycle finance plan from current quarter through Election Day, including monitoring and working toward weekly goals and projections; flag underperformance with time to adapt
- Manage and maintain fundraising systems, including the campaign donor database and calltime software
- Organize tasks and deadlines; manage donor prospecting; and coordinate calltime logistics to keep contacts, emails, and voicemails up to date and effective
- Lead and oversee the execution of fundraising events — including cohost recruitment, promotion, logistics, and staffing
- Partner with our digital fundraising firm to ensure compelling fundraising emails and texting programs
- Work closely with our compliance firm to ensure all fundraising activities are documented and reported to the FEC accurately and on time
- Keep donor relationships strong with timely thank-you notes sent monthly through Election Day
- Oversee the calltime program and calltime assistant, including developing and maintaining calltime lists and ensuring contacts, emails, and voicemails are up to date and effective
Requirements
We’re looking for candidates who have federal campaigns fundraising experience, and bring two or more of the following strengths:

- Political Instincts: You’ve been in the mix—on campaigns, at nonprofits, or in advocacy—and know how to navigate fast-changing dynamics with grace and grit.
- Systems Mindset: You love building processes that work. Whether it’s organizing data, managing complex timelines, or creating streamlined workflows, you bring structure to the chaos.
